The Department of Public Works announced that periodic single-lane closures on
River Road in Harrison Township will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2022. The restrictions
will occur between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays between Mile Lock Lane and Federal Street, and
they are expected to end in November. They are required for milling and paving, drainage
improvements, shoulder work, as well as installation of guide rail, signage, and pavement markings.
Drivers can expect to experience short stoppages at work zones, and flaggers will be used to control
traffic.
The work will be done by A. Folino Construction, Inc., of Oakmont as part the $7.3 million 2022 Capital
Roads contract.
