State Rep. Robert Mercuri | Pennsylvania 28th Legislative District
Rep. Jeremy Shaffer of Allegheny County has officially begun his first term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. The swearing-in ceremony took place on Tuesday at the state Capitol, marking the start of his two-year tenure representing the 28th Legislative District.
Shaffer expressed his commitment to serving his constituents, stating, "I am humbled and honored to serve the residents of northern Allegheny County in the House of Representatives." He added, "I am eager to spend this new session working with our residents and advocating for them in Harrisburg."
Among Shaffer's priorities for the 2025-26 Legislative Session are fostering a thriving environment for businesses and families, reducing taxes and regulations, supporting small businesses through economic opportunities, enhancing education accessibility and transparency, promoting bipartisanship, and developing the district into a model area within Pennsylvania.
The 28th Legislative District encompasses several communities including Bradford Woods Borough and the townships of Hampton, Marshall, Pine, Richland, and West Deer.
